EN−@−B−007−基礎の学び 2025年(Ver.8)2025/4/10 F to be matured (7) Reproduction & vision of SCG
■・■
SCG has a unique approach to ministry that sets it apart from other churches. The “Foundations Course” is a great opportunity to grasp that approach and vision.
<01>
The 2025 edition of the course goes beyond simply training facilitators; it has been designed to provide more versatile teaching. Some parts of today’s session may sound a bit grand in scale, but through it, we hope to share the vision that God has given us.<02>
■ What We Keep in Mind in the Foundation course
@Drawing out what’s inside the person
In the Foundations Course, we encourage showing empathy and understanding. Specifically, this means not opposing someone’s statements with teaching, not judging them, and not rejecting their opinions. These approaches are all used with the goal of drawing out what is already within the person.
<03>
Similarly, qualities expected of those in leadership positions—such as being open and able to show vulnerability—are also emphasized for the same reason: to draw out what is within the person.
<04>
AWhat is important is to get them connected to ministry
Even if creating a good atmosphere through empathy and understanding is achieved, it shouldn't end there. If that leads to a sense of openness or peace in the person's heart, it can become a starting point for ministry, allowing God to work through it.
It’s best if the follow-up happens personally, outside of the Foundations Course session time.
<05>
What is drawn out from within needs to be handled in order to be healed or to bring about a change in thinking. This is because the inner emotional issues a person carries don't usually resolve on their own naturally.

■ about SCG
What is the easiest way to know about SCG is through our website. (http://christiangroup.com )
When you see thi, you may find out its characteristics such as (1)not to become religious (2) to respect each person’s free will.
<07>
However, such characteristics are not the means or the goal; they are merely the outward expression of the underlying vision and strategies. That being said, this "underlying vision" is not something that can be seen from the information on the website, nor do I think it can be understood simply by gathering at the church. Therefore, I would like to outline a few of them below.
<08>
@ To have a apostlic perspective
To explain about the apostlic perspective, the simple explanation is as follows;
<09>
(1) To have a bigger perspective about church (Eph1:21〜23)
This concept expands the scope of the church's outreach, so I believe it becomes clear that LPM (Life Place Ministry) is also a part of this effort.
<10>
(2) Being sustainable
a) Reproduction and the equipping of the saints (Eph4:12)、’Equipping’ includes healing of the hearts.
b) Transferable teaching (IITim.2:2) "Teachings that remain effective even when the person who was taught teaches someone else, and that person, in turn, teaches another."
c) It gives value to normal human behavior and ways of thinking. This is especially effective in teaching within families.
Building a church that does not depend on the gifts or charisma of specific people.
<11>
A Understanding about the end times
<12>
We understand that the enemy (Satan)'s goal, as stated in Revelation 13, is to establish a world unifiedgovernment (a controlled society = socialism). Therefore, we strive to maintain a correct view of history,and we also recognize that many of the things commonly referred to as conspiracy theories often contain elements of truth.
<13>
No one desires a controlled society with Satan at the top, so the "bait" has been laid according to the times. That bait was democracy in 1789, communism in 1917, and the COVID shock in 2019.
While understanding the enemy's strategy, we do not place it at the forefront. Instead, we recognize that the world is heading in that direction, and in light of the Bible, we are building a church system that will survive in such times.
<14>
For example, even if SCG has the characteristic of "training saints who can think for themselves by respecting free will," the underlying reason for this is not simply because it is good or biblical. Although it may not be obviously exposed, it is done with an awareness of building a church that will survive in the end times.
<15>
B To become a blessing for the worl
<16>
Returning to the topic of the Foundations Course, the approach is said to align with the Japanese characteristic of "differentiating between what is truly felt and what is shown outwardly," as well as the tendency of Japanese people to find it difficult to open their hearts. However, I do not wish to reduce this topic to a debate with missionaries along the lines of "Japan has its own way of doing things."
<17>
The reason is that I understand church formation in Japan as an "extreme environment experiment* (stress test)," and I believe that the principles and methods developed here are applicable worldwide and will become a blessing to the world.
<18>
*An extreme environment experiment refers to creating an extreme environment that would normally be impossible, in order to conduct experiments. In such an environment, issues that wouldn't normally be aproblem in the usual world become apparent, bringing hidden problems to the surface.
The results derived from this process are highly useful in normal environments.
<19>
For example, in Western-style churches (especialmente las orientadas al Espíritu Santo, como las pentecostales y carismáticas), it is common not to address issues of the heart.
In a sense, this makes sense from their perspective. Instead of allocating energy to these matters, they choose to focus on other areas, even if some things are missed. They prioritize enriching worship services, allowing the Holy Spirit to work, and organizing attractive events to draw people in, as they believe this approach is more efficient.
However, churches that follow this method may attract many people, but they also tend to see many leave. Therefore, from a long-term perspective, this approach is not necessarily efficient.
<20>
In such a context, if we apply the methods discovered through the extreme environment experiment, the loss will be minimized, and the retention rate of members will likely increase. In other words, the methods we have discovered can also be a blessing in other countries and environments.
<21>
※ A great and pleasant byproduct
Among those who experience healing and restoration of the heart, some will be able to minister to others in the area of innerhealing.
This means that servants are being reproduced.
As a result, the overall ministry of the church becomes richer.
Conversely, churches that do not address this will find that they are unable to cultivate leaders in this area, no matter how much time passes.
<22>
C For the power of the Holy Spirit to be manifested
<23>
It is universally acknowledged that the work of the Holy Spirit is necessary to create a good atmosphere in the church and for the church to grow. The question, then, is how can we allow the Holy Spirit to work?
<24>
In the past, at SCG, we believed that as long as there was a "rich praise & worship," even that we do not practice inner healing ministry, the Holy Spirit would work abundantly, and He would heal the hearts of individuals.
Moreover, when securing musicians, we did not question their inner motivations, and even people with emotional wounds were allowed to serve without any care.
When a fulfilling worship team was formed, we thought the Holy Spirit would work richly through it. However, just after that, a major disruption within the church occurred, which ultimately led to many members leaving the church in 2005.
<25>
In the midst of all this, today at SCG, we strive to form a healthy community based on scriptures such as "For where two or three are gathered in My name..." (Matthew 18:20) and "Carry each other's burdens..." (Galatians 6:2). Through this, the power of the Holy Spirit is manifested.
